Comforting Hearts...
When Ryan died, our world changed. The pain ripped through our hearts, constricting them. It was suffocating. We couldn't breathe, couldn't see, couldn't feel. We will never again be the same.
We didn't know where or how to find comfort or support. We felt that others couldn't possibly understand. We did not (or could not) believe in after death communication. Our world revolved around the physical. And the physical was now gone.
We grasped for help. For peace. Anything to bring Ryan back and to heal our hearts. Others tried, but unless they had been there, it was difficult for them to understand. We learned that grief waits. That there is no such thing as "moving on". It was then Ryan began coming to us. It was then we began our search.
Please use the information provided on this page. We have accumulated some resources that we have found helpful or that have touched us with thier inspiration and insight. Grieving is hard and takes a lot of work. You must consciously decide to "get better". Reach out. There are other hearts out there that hurt just like yours... and they can help.

The Compassionate Friends ~ A national non-profit, self help organization that offers friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings.
Alive Alone ~ An organizatoin for bereaved parents whose only child or all children are deceased.
MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) ~ A national group of mothers and other supporters who work together to educate the public and support those who have suffered losses due to drunk driving.
Healing Heart for Bereaved Parents ~ Holding out the light of hope and the hand of friendship to grieving parents and their family.
Bereaved Parents of the USA ~ A national non-profit self-help group that offers support, understanding, compassion and hope especially to newly bereaved parents grandparents or siblings struggling to rebuild their lives after the death of their children, grandchildren or siblings.
