Our Hearts...Ryan's Heart was developed after the sudden death of Ryan Alan Fox, who was tragically taken from this world on September 4, 2005, due to a singular vehicle accident. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother and uncle. And he is missed every single day.
Ryan's mother found hearts on the beach, in the clouds and in moss formations. Ryan's daughters found heart shaped rocks and campfire pancakes. And his sister found heart shapes in other strange places, such as water spills and imprints in the dirt. The hearts just kept coming... and each one brought a sense of peace and love. As time went on, Ryan seemed to make his presence everywhere. His family also began to notice other strange happenings. There were sudden wind gusts, TV's or radio's flashing when turned off and telephones would ring and display his number with no one on the other end. It wasn’t long before his family began to realize that Ryan was still with them and that he was trying to tell them something. And so began Ryan’s Heart...His family still receives hearts – every day.

Ryan sent these to us when a particularly difficult situation threatened the existence of Ryan's Heart. We desperately asked for a sign... specifically a rose to know that we should continue. Literally, within hours, Ryan's Mom found this rose on the beach she was walking. The ribbon says "Mamma Flowers". If that wasn't enough, she then found this book discarded on a nearby picnic table. The book is titled Straight From the Heart.

This is a picture of the chapel in Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park in the Florida Keys, where Ryan's parents live during the winter months. The walls used to always be bare. Until the year Ryan died. That year Ryan's Mom spent many hours in the temple seeking comfort. Right before her eyes she watched, as the mossy hearts grew upon the wall. There are 2 hearts, one large (on the right) and one small (on the left behind the cross). It's been several years and the hearts are still there. They have not changed.
