Hope... Encourage... Give... Smile...  that's what the volunteers at Ryan's Heart do.  By taking a moment to reach out, you can make an important difference in the life of a grieving child.

 Our generious Volunteers are kinds hearts who lend a helping hand to support families through a difficult and lonely time. 

19% of all  children begin to develop problems at 1 year after a death of a parent.  

As reported by the 1990 Study  by the Bureau of the Census.

Coordinating, Fundraising, mailings and follow-ups.. the list is endless.  Have a special talent that you'd like to share?  Do you enjoy working directly with children?  Are you a people person and like to make new contacts?  Check out some areas we are always looking for extra help with..

General support is always welcome.  Special projects, mailings, filling and delivering Forget-Me-Not totes, are just a few.  If you have a skill you would like to contribute, please contact us to see how.

Support Group Facilitators 

Neighborhood Hearts (Coming in Fall 2009) is in need of group facilitators.  All facilitators will work directly with children, teens and families one night a week for 10 weeks (bi-annually).  Volunteer Facilitators must complete an intense 25 hour training before being placed in a support group.  A one year commitment is asked of all facilitators. 

Fundraising Events 

With numerous projects and events planned, we are always in need of an extra set of hands.  Grant Writing, coordination of volunteers, committee opportunities, ordering and distribution of materials, ticket sales... The list is endless! 

Board Members

With an agressive schedule ahead, we are in the begining phases of expanding our Board membership.  We are looking for members who can bring a wide range of expertise, including marketing, bookkeeping, governance and program development and more...
